I thought I post this picture I took from my daily walk on the beach this morning.
It reminded me of a Camino shell, even though it’s on a beach in Australia.
This got me thinking about the beaches in Galicia and the water that lapped the sand there…. could it be finding it’s way to my local beach here on the other side of the world??
I started thinking about the other things that we Pilgrims share in the external world… the sun, the air, the oceans… these are all Pilgrim things because no matter where you are in the world, we share these things amongst our fellow humans, our fellow Pilgrims.
That sun on my back is the same sun that beats down on the Meseta.
That water on the beach is the same as Finisterre.
That air we breathe??
A pilgrim has taken that same air into their lungs as they cross the Pyrenees.
We are all connected, no matter where we are in the world.
We are all interwoven into each others existence on this planet, whether we realise it or not.
So seek out those connections wherever you can… you never know, you might just find you are helping to live your Camino back home by just by doing that.
I hope you get something from this… cheers & Buen Camino! 🙂 Brendan.
